Pastor Tourangeau established our church in June of 2002 in an office of a woodshop on Welland Ave, the facilities were less than adequate and looking back it is a wonder anybody came to the hot office space! Soon it became apparent that better facilities were needed.  We met in a number of different facilities. In a large hall, a school gymnasium, a school classroom. All through this time, we believed that God had an actual church building for us. On February 15, 2007 our dreams were realized and the church purchased and moved into our present “church building” at 265 Linwell Road. In our present location we have seen wonderful growth both numerically and spiritually. Our church has adopted a “Global View” of the great commission and has been involved in missions at home and around the world.

 

 

Our Pastor:

 

Pastor Mike Tourangeau is the founding pastor of our church. Pastor Tourangeau grew up in a Christian home and accepted Christ as his Savior as a young boy. Early on in life he felt the call of God on his life to enter the ministry. Upon completion of high school, he enrolled in Bible College and received a Bachelor’s degree in “Pastoral Theology.”  While in college, he met Lynn Yoder of York, Pa. In August of 2000 they were married and have 2 children Caleb and Joshua. In June of 2002, Pastor Tourangeau founded Lighthouse Baptist Church. Under his leadership the church has flourished as he has challenged us to respond in faith to God’s leading. Pastor Tourangeau has a burden for the world and has led our church to be “Mission’s minded” and do all we can to get the gospel to our neighbors, those around town and around the world!
